Recycling News

Not only is recycling the right thing to do, it is also the law in New Jersey. Hunterdon County and Lebanon Township work together to try to make recycling convenient.

For residential recycling, a variety of materials are accepted at each of the following locations:

1. The township recycling depots on the third Saturday of each month between 8:30 and 11:30 AM behind the Municipal Building.
2. The county residential recycling program at the Transfer Station in Annandale. The hours at the transfer station are 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday and 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday.

Battery and Cell Phone Recycling

Rechargeable Batteries can be recycled at the Lebanon Township Municipal Building. A drop box is located in the Administrative Office lobby. Rechargeable batteries include Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion (Li-ion), Nickel Zinc (Ni-Zn), and Small Sealed Lead (pb). Non-Rechargeable Batteries (alkaline dry cell batteries) such as AA, AAA, C, D and 9 volt no longer contain mercury or hazardous components and therefore may be disposed of in your regular household trash.

Cell phones can also be recycled at the Municipal Building. Place them in the same drop box as household batteries. We accept any size, make, model, digital or analog, with or without batteries. Cell phone accessories are not accepted.
