Battery and Cell Phone Recycling
Rechargeable Batteries can be recycled at the Lebanon Township Municipal Building.
A drop box is located in the Administrative Office lobby. Rechargeable batteries
include Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion (Li-ion),
Nickel Zinc (Ni-Zn), and Small Sealed Lead (pb). Non-Rechargeable Batteries
(alkaline dry cell batteries) such as AA, AAA, C, D and 9 volt no longer contain mercury
or hazardous components and therefore may be disposed of in your regular household trash.
Cell phones can also be recycled at the Municipal Building. Place them in the same drop box as
household batteries. We accept any size, make, model, digital or analog, with or without batteries.
Cell phone accessories are not accepted.
Please check the recycling page of the Hunterdon County Utilities Authority website
