Bunnvale Library
About the Library
The Bunnvale Library is housed in a one room school house built in 1915. The school closed in 1963 and was to be offered for sale in December of 1977 at a public auction. The auction was postponed due to a snow storm. A group of residents felt the need for a northern area station of the Hunterdon County Library, and in 1978 interceded to have Lebanon Township obtain title to the property for library purposes.
The upper level of the building houses the adult collection and the lower level houses the children and youth collection. The Library retains the original punched tin ceiling and maple floors that were in the school house, along with the original school bell.
